B2010 — Celebrating 15 Years of Blackpool FC’s Wembley Triumph

Hello, Seasiders! This is Valery Belokon. On May 22, 2010, we cheered together at Wembley — Blackpool beat Cardiff and returned to the Premier League. I can still see Ian Holloway’s grin, hear the roar of the stands, and feel that incredible day. Now, 15 years later, in May 2025, I want to relive that moment with you and do something for our club and town.

That’s where B2010 comes in — a collectible crypto coin. It’s not just a digital thing; it’s a piece of our shared memory, like a ticket from that match you can keep forever. Here’s what I have in mind:

  • Just 2010 coins — one for each year of that legendary victory.
  • Each costs £25, paid in cryptocurrency (like Ethereum), to raise £50,000 for football in Blackpool.
  • All the money will go to development — but we’ll decide together where it’s needed most.
  • The coin will only be released once we agree on the goal and how to make sure it all gets there.
I know “crypto” might sound odd — especially if you’ve only heard about scandals (and Blackpool’s had its share). But this isn’t about schemes. You buy a coin with crypto, get a rare keepsake, and the funds we raise stay here for Blackpool’s future. I chose crypto to keep the launch simple, but I’d love to hear what you think about that.

We need your ideas!
Let’s make this a team effort. Share your thoughts:

  • Where should we put the £50,000? Kids’ football? Gear for local teams? Young talents?
  • How do we keep it honest and transparent?
  • How do you feel about the funds being in cryptocurrency? Are you okay with it, or should we convert them to regular money before using them?
  • What do you think of B2010 — does it sound interesting or just nonsense? :)
Write your ideas below — I’ll read every one and share what we decide together soon. This is my way of saying thank you for those years and supporting the club that’s always in my heart.

If you’re curious about these coins, check out the other projects on the site — B65 and CCC1. But right now, it’s all about B2010 and what we can do for Blackpool.
Best regards,
Valery
